Vascular diseases are responsible for more morbidity and mortality than any other type of diseases. This morbidity and mortality may be due to vessel disease itself or an organ disease secondarily involving blood vessels causing endarteritis or Hepatocellular carcinoma infiltrating into the portal or hepatic veins.
Imaging plays a vital role in the diagnosis of the vascular disease, and organ damage, to provide a road map for treatment, to follow up after the treatment and for prognostication. The patient needs to be dealt with proper care and given adequate guidance and treatment. Dr. Krishna has given his perspective on vascular imaging and what needs to be addressed in radiology reporting.
The seminar was attended by Radiology consultants and Post Graduate students of Columbia Asia Hospital.
